Closure:  original long-stemmed immerser lid and a replica metal clamp (lettering partially ground down in the manufacturing)

Appearance: shiny glass with a trace of content haze

Condition:  no damage

Embossing:  light to medium

Base:  unmarked

Age:  c1870

Availability: a very scarce early jar
