Closure:  reproduction

Appearance: seedy glass character, with a trace of haze

Condition:  chip on the ground mouth

Embossing:  strong

Base: unmarked 

Age:  late 1800's

Availability: rare, one of the few patented fruit jars to incorporate wooden parts in the closure mechanism
