Closure:  original zinc cap "TRADE MARK THE GENUINE MASON JAR CAP OF 1858 LINED ALWAYS SAFE"

Appearance: shiny glass

Condition:  normal nicking of the ground mouth

Embossing:  strong

Base: "PATD BY JNOL MASON NOV 30TH 1858" 

Age:  late 1800's

Availability: uncommon and rare to find with the correct original cap
