Closure: correct original glass lid and correct style heavy coiled iron wire clamp which looks old but is probably a fine replica

Appearance: shiny

Condition: normal flaking of the ground mouth

Strength of embossing: strong

Base: "PATd MAR 10TH 1868" encircling a "4"

Age: c1870
