Size:  HALF GALLON

Color:  LIGHT to MEDIUM AMBER

Closure:  original glass lid with 1886 patent date and original 3-piece iron clamp assembly

Appearance:  shiny glass

Condition:  flaking of the ground mouth

Embossing:  strong

Base: "8" over a backwards-embossed "s"

Age:  late 1800's

Availability:  uncommon jar and an excellent specimen
