DESCRIPTION

Size:  HALF GALLON (4 Lbs Butter)

Color:  STRONG AQUAMARINE

Closure:  original MASONS IMPROVED glass insert and original lugged band

Appearance:  shiny glass

Condition:  2 edge chips on the ground mouth, and there is a tiny manufacturer's pot stone defect in the side, see photo

Embossing:  medium to strong

Base: unmarked

Age:  late 1800's

Availability:  very scarce Butter jar
