A clear (light purple tint) quart embossed in boldly-raised block lettering: BRIGHTON. Shiny glass with no damage or stains other than the usual roughness and bruising of the ground rim, common to this particular series. Comes with the original glass lid with 1886 patent date (also light purple tinted) and the very scarce original 3-piece wire clamp in nice shape with very little rust. The glass lid has one bruise on the bottom edge. The jar is a rare example in having NONE of the usual dings and flashes embedded in the glass, as do most examples of this jar. Base: 3.
