An aqua quart embossed: WHITMORES PATENT ROCHESTER NY. Good condition with just a faint trace of deposits inside. The jar comes with the original glass lid and the extremely scarce correct original shaped brass clamp with a good dark old patina. The small neck dimple in back into which the clamp wire inserts has been accidentally punched through by the clamp, forming a small hole. Good ground rim with very little flaking. The old sealing gasket is ratty. Base: unmarked.
