An early aqua applied mouth wax sealer quart embossed on the front: STEVENS TIN TOP PATENTED JULY 27, 1875. The mouth was made with two pinched-in spots to accommodate the metal cap (repro cap). The jar has no damage including a perfect applied mouth. There are some light areas of scuffing on the jar. Base: "N" within a star and encircled by S K & Co (For the Shields, King & Co).
