Color:   AQUAMARINE

Closure:  original glass lid (one edge chip) and old replacement metal clamp (no originals known)

Appearance:  shiny glass with a trace of content deposit

Condition:  normal nicking of the ground mouth

Embossing:  base only

Base: "ALLENS PATENT JUNE 1871"

Age:  c1871

Availability:  scarce early jar
