Closure:  original glass lid with iron crossbar and attached iron clamps, the lid has damage on the bottom as shown

Appearance:  shiny glass, with some overall light usage wear

Condition:  edge flaking of the mouth all around

Embossing:  strong

Base: unmarked

Age:  early 1900's
