DESCRIPTION

Size:  GALLON

Color:   AQUAMARINE

Closure:  Original heavyweight hat-shaped glass insert and a zinc screw band. The lugged screw band fits and works perfectly and is of the period, but is not original.

Appearance:  shiny glass

Condition:  one spot on the mouth with damage as shown

Embossing:  strong

Base: "H BROOKE MOULD MAKER NY" with patent date circle

Age:  c1875

Availability:  scarce early oversized jar
