DESCRIPTION

Size:  PINT

Color:   AQUAMARINE

Closure:  the early period cork stopper is wrapped in cheesecloth

Appearance:  good, note the top edge of the mouth has crude undulations typical of early period manufacturing crudity

Condition:  no damage, has a small manufacturer's pontil chip at the edge of the pontil scar under the base

Embossing:  n/a

Base: iron pontil scar

Age:  1850's

Availability:  scarce early pint made in the Pittsburgh glass manufacturing district
