A half gallon shoulder seal jar embossed: "MASONS PATENT NOV 30TH 1858". Beautiful color of strong citron or yellow olive. The glass displays nice crude character and seed bubbles. No damage or stains. Normal flaking of the ground rim edge. Comes with an unusual old cap as shown, in which the lettering on top of the zinc cap is raised instead of being impressed. Base: "II".
