DESCRIPTION

Size:  QUART

Color:  AQUAMARINE

Closure:  amethyst glass insert and a zinc screw band

Appearance: shiny glass

Condition:  edge chipping on the ground mouth

Embossing:  medium, and note the word "JAM" is superimposed over an erased "GEM"

Base: unmarked

Age:  late 1800's

Availability:  scarce Nova Scotia jar made by the Lamont Glass Co
