DESCRIPTION

Size:  HALF GALLON

Color:  STRONG AQUA

Closure:  applied stopper well mouth, and comes with an original 19th century cheesecloth covering tied with a string and sealed with a red wax covering

Appearance: sparkling glass

Condition:  no damage, has a small manufacturer's pot stone with tiny legs

Embossing:  base only

Base: "CUNNINGHAM & Co PITTSBURGH PA"

Age:  1860's

Availability:  scarce jar with extremely rare surviving closure
