Closure:  rare original 3-piece metal stopple with some of the patent date lettering still visible, one of the best examples of this stopple we've seen

Appearance: shiny glass

Condition:  no damage

Embossing:  strong

Base: unmarked

Age:  c1870

Availability:  scarce jar with an especially rare closure in comparatively nice shape
