An aqua quart odd-closured jar embossed: "WHITMORES PATENT" with plated-out lettering below that. This is the extremely scarce small-mouth version. Sparkling glass without damage or stains. Excellent ground rim with very little nicking. Correct original glass lid with high fins, with the original seal breaker notch molded into the lower edge. The lid has one undulation (unfilled area from the manufacturing) along the bottom edge, and one thin flake on the side of the ramp. Correct original clamp. The clamps for these jars come in both a brass version and the less common iron wire version, and this one is iron. Base: unmarked.
