An aqua quart odd-closured jar embossed on the front: "THE PURITAN" and on the reverse side with an "LSCO" monogram as shown. Sparkling condition without damage or stains. The ground mouth has the usual edge flaking. Correct original glass lid with flakes at one notch. The metal clamp is a replica. Base: unmarked.
