Closure:  original glass lid with 1886 patent date, possibly original wire clamp has been painted black

Appearance: shiny glass with some scuffs from usage

Condition:  manufacturer's edge flaking around the mouth

Embossing:  strong

Base: "2"

Age:  late 1800's
