Closure:  original wide mouth zinc cap with unusual flattened dome milk glass immerser lining

Appearance: shiny glass

Condition:  edge flaking on the ground mouth

Embossing:  very strong

Base: unmarked

Age:  1890's

Availability: extremely rare clear version and also rare ground lip version of a GJCo monogrammed Gilchrist jar
