Closure:  original glass lid with 1887 patent date and original elaborate iron spring-loaded bail assembly

Appearance: shiny glass with crude & swirly character

Condition:  no damage including a good ground lip with very little flaking

Embossing:  medium

Base: "PATd OCT 18 1887"

Age:  late 1800's
