A clear half gallon odd-closured jar, embossed in boldy-raised block lettering: "THE DAISY JAR". Sparkling glass without damage or stains. The ground mouth has edge roughness and flaking all around, from the original manufacturing. Correct original glass lid with 1888 patent date, and original cam-action cast iron and sheet iron yoke clamp. A fine example of this appealing early jar.
