An early deep aqua 12-Petal style stopper jar. Made in the Pittsburgh, PA glass manufacturing district during the Civil War era. Applied mouth and a smooth, hinge-molded base. Sparkling condition without damage or stains. Comes with a great old cork stopper that was fitted in the 19th century with a wire lifting loop, that passes all the way thru the cork as shown. The jar measures about 9-1/2 inches tall.
