An extremely rare aqua half gallon embossed in two lines of block lettering: THE CLIPPER. Shiny glass with no damage or stains. Normal ground rim roughness and flaking. Base: unmarked. Although this jar has been catalogued in the Redbook as Australian, it bears no resemblence to typical Australian glass nor lettering style. The overall design as well as the glass character & weight are all typical of 19th century American jars. No screw cap.
