A medium to deep amber quart embossed on the front: MASONS PATENT NOV 30TH 1858 and on the reverse side: N.C.L. Sparkling clean with no damage or stains. Thick ground rim with the usual side flaking. There is a shallow open bubble on the inside. Base: "N" over a "9" or "6". A rare old Mason and an outstanding example.
