DESCRIPTION

Size:   HALF GALLON

Color:   STRONG BLUE-AQUA

Closure:  original unmarked tin insert (pinholes along the bottom flange) and a correct narrow style zinc screw band

Appearance:  seedy and whittled, sparkling glass

Condition:  normal flaking of the ground mouth

Embossing:  strong

Base: "PATd NOV 26 1867" encircling a "57"

Age:  c1870

Availability:  scarce and a great looking example
