DESCRIPTION

Size:  HALF GALLON

Color:   AQUAMARINE

Closure:  Rare original unlined zinc cap with two soldered lugs on top and partial impressed lettering in the center. The original full stamping would have read "GILLINDER & BENNETT PATd AUG 8 1865". See pic.

Appearance:  seedy and sparkling glass

Condition:  normal flaking of the ground mouth

Embossing:  strong

Base: unmarked

Age:  1860's

Availability:  rare to find with this version of the closure
