An early aqua quart odd-closured jar, embossed on one side: "F. A BUNNELS PAT No 52525 FEB 13th 1866 SYRACUSE NY" and on the other side: "THE EMPIRE". Shiny clean glass without damage or stains. The ground mouth has the usual roughness and incompletely-ground areas from the manufacturing as shown. Correct original glass cap and a finely-made old replica all-iron clamp. The clamp is so well-made, that it is difficult to discern from the cast iron original. Base: "5".
