Availability: Extremely rare, this is one of two examples known. The other specimen that turned up is badly cracked. Chas Siddons obtained his patent on March 24, 1868. for an "Improvement in Fruit Jars". This is the design more commonly seen on the SPENCERS PATENT jar. This earlier SIDDONS version has a larger mouth. A rare opportunity to obtain a very obscure and important early jar.
