Appearance: good untouched patinaCondition: Has minor repair probably done during it's period of usage in the 1870's-1890's. The center of the bottom plate has added solder which has covered up the original Doanes patent date circle. No lettering is visible at all. The crack in the base of the post can be seen from the inside, which probably necessitated the repair. The sealing gasket is missing.
