A clear quart embossed on the front in a circular arrangement: "THE FAMILY FRUIT JAR". Correct original elaborate spring-loaded wire clamp assembly, and original glass lid. Good ground rim with very little flaking. The glass lid has some minor nicking on the bottom. There is a surface scratch running along the right side of the jar. Base: "PATd OCT 18 - 1887".
