A half gallon shoulder seal jar embossed in crisply raised block lettering: "MASONS PATENT NOV 30TH 1858". The color is distinctive and unusual...almost, but not quite, a true cornflower blue. When compared side-by-side, the shade of color is noticeably more pure blue than Ball blue. Beautiful condition without damage or stains. The ground mouth has the normal edge flaking. Base: "PAT NOV 26 67" encircling a mold number: 3".
