DESCRIPTION
A bright yellow shoulder seal half gallon embossed in sharply raised lettering: "MASONS PATENT NOV 30TH 1858". Beautiful glass character with a hammered whittled effect throughout. No damage with the exception of some shallow rim chipping, as well as the two defects shown in the lower back side of the jar. These appear to be possibly some type of manufacturing flaws, and do not appear to go all the way thru the thickness of glass. Base: "PAT NOV 26 67" encircling a "285". A great looking colored 1858 jar.
