A medium amber half gallon embossed on the front: "MASONS PATENT NOV 30TH 1858" and on the reverse with a large CFJCo monogram. Nice crude and sparkling glass character with a light whittled effect. Good strong and sharp embossing. Has a manufacturer's pot stone in the back with tiny radiations. Ground mouth with normal edge flaking. Comes with a nice CFJCo lettered zinc cap. Base: a backwards-embossed "056" above an "F". A rare old jar and a fantastic-looking example.
