Size: measuring about 7-1/2 inches tall and about 5 inches in diameter at the base
Color: COLORLESS flint glass
Closure: original "doorknob" style glass stopper embossed F&J McKEE PITTSBURGH
Appearance: sparkling glass
Condition: no damage

Base: open pontil scar
Age: 1870's
Availability: Rare. The free-blown jar has an applied mouth which was ground flat on top, to accept the flat-ground stopper which, when wetted, achieved a seal purely by means of surface tension.
