A medium amber half gallon embossed: "MASONS (Keystone) PATENT NOV 30TH 1858". This is by far the finest example of this jar we've ever seen in half gallon size. The embossing in uncharacteristically strong and the jar displays a good whittled effect. Shiny glass without damage, except for flaking off the ground mouth. Comes with an excellent correct lettered zinc cap. There are no open bubbles, only a thin looped string of glass on the inside surface of the neck in back. Base: "43". A fantastic looking old jar.
