An early aqua quart embossed in block lettering: "BALTIMORE GLASS WORKS". Smooth base and a very unusual style, outwardly-rolled applied lip. Beautiful condition without damage or stains throughout. The unmarked Willoughby stopper is in fine original condition and is made entirely of iron including the wing-nut. Very little rust and retains the original hardened, off-white, rubber gasket. Stopper has a projecting top plate to allow use with a neck/mouth finish like this without dropping thru. A great looking early jar in an extremely rare form.
