Closure: heavy applied grooved ring wax sealer mouth finish
Appearance: sparkling glass with seedy character
Condition: heel crack in front, but hard to notice when the jar is on display at eye level
Embossing: strong
Base: iron pontil scar
Age: 1850's
Availability: Rare in this deep color, and a beautiful jar. This is a fresh find from a recent farm auction.
