DESCRIPTION
Size: HALF GALLON
Color: AMBER
Closure: common zinc cap
Appearance: shiny with a light whittled effect, has a light trace of inside deposit, and some deposits on the bottom surface
Condition: no damage except for a flake on the inner edge of the ground mouth not yet detached (at 3 o'clock position in mouth photo)
Strength of embossing: strong in a large lettering style
Base: "81"
Age: late 1800's
Availability: scarce, and a great-looking colored 1858 jar
