Closure: all original including the domed metal cap with impressed patent dates in untouched condition which still retains some of the original tin plating and very little rust, and the original clamp wire
Appearance: sparkling glass
Condition: manufacturer's roughness and chipping of the ground mouth all around
Embossing: strong
Base: "PATd NOV 26 1867" encircling a "20"
Age: c1870
Availability: rare with an original closure in this condition
