DESCRIPTION
Size: PINT
Color: BRILLIANT GREEN
Closure: original glass screw cap embossed on the bottom side "TO REMOVE CAP PRESS DOWN & UNSCREW". The cap has the usual flaking on the internal threads and tightens smoothly on the jar.
Appearance: sparkling glass
Condition: jar in fine shape
Embossing: strong
Base: unmarked
Age: late 1800's
Availability: Scarce. This version in green with the glass cap closure is the most difficult to find in the Flaccus series. The green ones in particular are very rarely found with the lid, as the lids were easily broken and most were discarded. A scarce and appealing old jar and a fine all-original specimen.
