Size: QUART
Color: AQUAMARINE
Closure: original glass lid with 1885 patent date, and a replica metal clamp and wooden wedge
Appearance: crude, seedy and sparkling glass
Condition: normal flaking of the ground mouth
Embossing: medium
Base: "S. L. L."
Age: late 1800's
Availability: Rare. The initials on the base refer to Samuel L. Loomis of Wright's Station, California, the patent holder. For that reason, it is assumed these jars were made on the west coast.
