DESCRIPTION
Size: QUART
Color: LIGHT BLUE GREEN
Closure: push down style grooved ring wax sealer mouth finish and comes with an old tin cap
Appearance: sparkling glass
Condition: mouth damage in one spot as shown
Embossing: strong
Base: two iron pontil scars
Age: c1860
Availability: Extremely rare, in two different aspects. First that the jar is always found in a standard aqua color, and second, this straight-sided version is not found with a pontil scarred base. All of the various Potter & Bodine series of jars are attributed to the Bridgeton, NJ Glass Works, but this one could have been made elsewhere, such as a Pittsburgh glass house.
