Appearance: sparkling glass
Condition: no damage including a good ground lip with very little flaking
Embossing: very strong
Base: "D / 2"
Age: late 1800's
Availability: Scarce and a beautiful example. This is the only Masons Patent 1858 jar with SBGI closure that comes in amber. Sometimes loosely attributed to Ball Bros, but possibly made by Moore Bros in Clayton NJ, based on the lettering style and the style of base marking.
