DESCRIPTION
An original cast iron cage-style clamp for a Griffens Patent jar, small mouth size. Untouched condition with traces of the original black paint. Fits most sizes of Griffen jars that take the standard small mouth lid. Note, to determine whether your jar is a Griffens or a Ludlow, check the length of the neck ramps. A Griffens jar has long neck ramps, whereas a Ludlow jar has short neck ramps (so short that they appear almost round).
