Closure: original glass lid and original pivoting iron yoke clamp assembly
Appearance: shiny
Condition: Roughness and flaking of the ground mouth all around. As with almost every known example of this jar, the glass has a few subtle dings and/or fisheyes embedded in the glass as shown.
Strength of embossing: very strong
Base: "E"
Age: late 1800's
Availability: very scarce in pint size
