DESCRIPTION
Size: QUART
Color: COLORLESS
Closure: Original neck band with soldered-on wire loops, and a replica metal cap. Note also that the mouth is formed with a "wax sealer" type grooved finish, unlike any other Webster jar. Two completely different patents are combined into one jar design with this specimen.
Appearance: good
Condition: short crack or cooling fissure in the heel as shown
Strength of embossing: medium
Base: unmarked
Age: late 1860's
Availability: extremely rare, possibly the only example of this version with the extra patent date on the reverse
