Closure: tooled ring collar mouth made for a stopper closure
Appearance: shiny condition, the jar has been dug and professionally cleaned to restore luster
Condition: the mouth has a thumbnail sized repair that is essentially invisible to the eye
Strength of embossing: strong
Base: unmarked
Age: c1870
Availability: extremely rare, only two examples are known, both dug from the same hole
