DESCRIPTION
Size: QUART
Color: GOLDEN YELLOW AMBER with a hint of OLIVE
Closure: zinc cap
Appearance: spectacular glass character, loaded with hundreds of seed bubbles
Condition: normal nicking of the ground mouth
Strength of embossing: strong
Base: unmarked
Age: late 1800's
Availability: Extremely rare, possibly the only example known in this color. This jar was probably blown in an altered HOOSIER JAR mold, although the erased lettering is not visible. Probably made by the Ohio Valley Glass Co of Bridgeport, Ohio in the late 1880's.
